About me
I am the Director of Campaigns for All Out, an organization working to bring equality, everywhere. It is still a crime to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or trans in 76 countries, and in 10 countries the punishment is life in prison or death. We can change this.
Please consider supporting this important work by making a contribution to All Out. Together we can decriminalize love.
Before joining All Out, I was a campaign manager at Change.org. I also served as the Social Media Director for the "Approve Referendum 71" campaign to keep domestic partnerships in Washington state. Unlike more than 30 statewide elections before it, Referendum 71 made history as the first expansion of rights for the LGBT community approved by voters in the United States.
I am a regular contributor to several blogs, including the Bilerico Project, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and the Huffington Post.
I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and received my BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. I currently live in Seattle, Washington, with my partner.
